I’m learning more and more that when you actually share your dreams, the more they come true. Everyone has some kind of “to do” adventure list. Here’s mine, in no particular order, not exhaustive, etc etc:
- Learn to play my guitar that’s been gathering dust
- Skydive
- Go on a meditation retreat in India (what? so I watched Eat Pray Love)
Do a headstand in yoga- Fall madly, deeply, head over heels in love with a wonderful man. (My parents have set the bar high, and my hopeless romantic expectations)
- Tour the inside of a pyramid
- Start my own business
- Become a thought leader in the social enterprise business
Dye my hair red- Summit a mountain
- Perform in a burlesque show (again, yes, watching the movie)
- Go ice skating
- Work in New York City
- Visit Iceland and Greece (and lots of other places)
- Run a (official) half marathon (maybe a full. Can you say ‘maybe’ in these lists?) Oh, on the Great Wall of China!
- Give a talk at TEDx
Wear red lipstick without thinking the whole time “I’m wearing red lipstick”- Become fluent/conversational in French
- Travel with Nicky Yates
- Pay for my parents to visit Ireland
- Publish a creative writing piece
- Submit my photography to a gallery
- Plan a roadtrip trip with no agenda except for an end point
- Be elbows deep in a volunteer project in a third world country
- Get a tattoo, or at least quit going back and forth if I want one or not.
- Ski the Swiss Alps
- Play the piano more often
- Become a bike commuter (I walk now…does that count?)
- Attend a cooking school in France
- Ride a motorcycle down HWY 1
- Attend the World Cup
- Volunteer
- Start contributing to my 401k monthly again
- Rock climb
- Go surfing
